How MaViAl files the work permit

For employment under an agreement with a Polish entity, the current procedure is the work permit for a foreign national employed by a Polish entity. The historic phrase “Type A work permit” remains useful as a search term, but the current electronic forms use updated terminology.

  • The employer is the party to the work-permit proceeding.
  • The application and all attachments are submitted only through praca.gov.pl.
  • The employer attaches the candidate's passport-data-page copy.
  • Qualifications are attached where the intended work is in a regulated profession.
  • Foreign-language evidence used in the Polish proceeding may require a Polish sworn translation.
