Indicative prices by type of work
Each anchor describes the smallest sensible version of that type of software. If your scope is smaller or larger, the written quote prevails; published figures are not an offer.
| Type of work | Price excl. VAT | Minimum scope and notes |
|---|---|---|
| Discovery and technical specification | $490–$1,500 | Scope, architecture, risk map, acceptance criteria, estimate and delivery plan. |
| Focused landing page | from $399 | One page with one conversion goal, basic on-page SEO and a GA4 baseline. |
| Business website | from $949 | Roughly 5–10 pages or sections; the brief sets the final scope. |
| Plugin, extension, SDK or desktop utility | from $1,500 | One clearly defined function or integration; marketplace fees excluded. |
| API, ETL connector or system integration | from $1,900 | Effort depends on endpoints, authentication, data quality and vendor limits. |
| AI module, chatbot, OCR, NLP or proof of concept | from $2,900 | External model usage and compliance work are priced separately. |
| Web application or business-software MVP | from $4,900 | One core workflow, responsive UI, basic administration and deployment. |
| SaaS MVP | from $8,900 | Sign-up and login, one core workflow, admin panel, launch-ready baseline. |
| Cross-platform mobile MVP | from $9,900 | One shared codebase for iOS and Android; store accounts and third-party fees excluded. |
| High-complexity or regulated software | from $12,000 | Binding quote only after technical and regulatory scoping. |
| Maintenance and small improvements | from $249/month | Agreed service level, updates, monitoring and a set work allowance. |
| Dedicated development capacity | from $6,500/month | Team composition and capacity agreed after the technical brief. |
Proposals are issued in USD, EUR or GBP once the client's country and tax status are known.
Starting prices by category
Every service page carries its own anchor. This summary shows where each product type starts:
| Category | Services and starting prices |
|---|---|
| Custom software | business website from $949; desktop application from $1,500; web application, online store, CMS and modernization from $4,900; mobile application from $9,900; maintenance from $249/month |
| SaaS and white-label | helpdesk, project management, booking, time tracking from $4,900; white-label from $7,900; SaaS MVP and search or comparison platforms from $8,900 |
| Business software | e-signature workflows and workflow automation from $1,900; CRM, ERP, HR portal, billing, document management and automation, BI dashboards from $4,900 |
| AI software | chatbots, document assistant, OCR, NLP and translation, computer vision, recommendations from $2,900 |
| Data, APIs and integrations | SDKs from $1,500; APIs, API products, ETL connectors from $1,900; database applications from $4,900 |
| Developer tools | WordPress plugins, browser extensions, desktop utilities from $1,500; backup software from $12,000 |
| Cybersecurity software | password managers, encryption, vulnerability scanners from $12,000 |
| Fintech software | financial dashboards, credit scoring, payment and blockchain applications from $12,000 |
| Construction software | project tracking and workforce management from $8,900 |
The highest anchors apply where a defect is most costly: security, finance and backup. In those products risk analysis, cryptographic design or regulatory mapping is part of the core work, not an add-on.
Billing models
The same scope can be delivered under different models. The right one depends on how well the requirements are known and who should carry the risk of them changing.
| Model | When it fits | How it is billed |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed scope after discovery | Requirements can be written up front and acceptance criteria are measurable. | Fixed price for the agreed scope; changes via change requests priced separately. |
| Time and materials | The product is evolving and priorities shift after user testing. | Time actually spent, reported per iteration with budget control. |
| Dedicated capacity | Continuous product development over many months. | Monthly fee for reserved capacity, from $6,500. |
| White-label core licence | You need a proven base product under your own brand. | Licence fee plus adaptation cost; permitted use defined in the contract. |
Whatever the model, the proposal sets out intellectual property, acceptance, warranty and change-control terms.
What changes the price
The service label says less about price than the scope does. A “simple CRM” with five integrations can cost more than a large application that connects to nothing. The usual drivers are:
- Users and roles: each extra role brings its own permissions, screens and test scenarios.
- Integrations: vendor APIs, payments, single sign-on through an identity provider, data sources; their documentation and limits can move effort more than the screen count.
- Data and migration: data quality in the old system, migration volume and record reconciliation.
- Security and compliance: GDPR, accessibility, industry rules and the evidence your auditor expects.
- Languages and markets: language versions, content preparation, local document formats and billing rules.
- Urgency and uncertainty: deadline pressure, the risk priced into a fixed quote and the support level expected after launch.
The most effective way to lower cost is a smaller first phase: one core workflow, one admin role, and integrations added once the product has proven its value.
What the quote excludes
Unless the proposal says otherwise, the price does not cover external and running costs that you pay to providers directly or that grow with usage:
- third-party API and AI model usage,
- paid software licences and components,
- App Store and Google Play developer accounts,
- cloud consumption and hosting,
- SMS and email volume,
- advertising budgets,
- legal certification and formal audits,
- taxes, including VAT.
This keeps running costs visible and separate from the build price. The specification lists the external services you will need to pay for, so there are no surprises after launch.
A proposal in three options
Instead of a single number you receive three options built on the same assumptions, so the trade-offs are explicit:
- Essential protects the core workflow with the minimum scope the product needs to go live.
- Recommended is the target production version we advise for the stated goals and risks.
- Scale adds hardening, automation, analytics, performance work, new markets or integrations.
You can start with Essential and grow later. The specification marks which architectural decisions keep that path open and which must be taken now so that growth does not require a rewrite.
When to start with discovery
Discovery and a technical specification usually cost $490–$1,500 for a focused scope. Projects involving a large legacy system, regulatory requirements or many integrations need a separately sized analysis phase.
The result is a document you can base a build decision on: features, architecture, risks, exclusions, acceptance criteria, estimate and delivery plan. Discovery is especially useful when:
- you are not yet sure which features the first release needs,
- the project depends on a system whose documentation nobody has seen,
- data has to be migrated from an old system,
- personal data, payments or industry regulation are involved.

Frequently asked questions
Are the listed prices fixed?
No. They are indicative anchors for a minimal, clearly described scope. The binding document is the written proposal prepared after the technical specification.
Which currency will the proposal use?
Public prices are shown in USD so they compare easily across markets. Proposals can be issued in USD, EUR or GBP once the client's country and tax status are known.
Do the amounts include VAT?
No, all amounts exclude VAT. How VAT applies depends on the client's country and tax status, and the proposal states it.
Is maintenance included in the project price?
Support immediately after launch is defined in the project proposal. Ongoing maintenance, monitoring, updates and new features are agreed separately, with plans starting from $249 per month.
Do I pay for discovery if I decide not to build?
Yes, discovery is a separate paid phase. Its output is a specification with scope, architecture, risks and an estimate, and you decide whether to build after receiving it.
Why does my quote differ from the table?
Each anchor describes the minimal version of that type of software. Every extra role, integration, data migration or compliance requirement adds effort, while a smaller scope can reduce it. In every case the written quote is what counts.
