What we build and for whom
Software is the core business of MaViAl Sp. z o.o. We build systems that have a named business owner and a measurable goal: faster order handling, cleaner customer data, a new subscription product, or a link between tools that someone currently bridges by copying data by hand.
Most conversations start with one of four roles:
- Founders and business owners who want to test a product idea as an MVP before funding the full version.
- CTOs and IT managers looking for an external team to deliver a specific module, integration or legacy upgrade.
- Product owners with a backlog and clear priorities but not enough people, or no experience in a particular technology.
- Operations managers running a process on spreadsheets, email and manual hand-offs that no longer keeps up with the business.
Typical starting points
Some projects start from a blank page; just as many start from a system that already runs. We take on new products and first releases, new modules for working applications, integrations between several systems, codebases inherited from a previous vendor, and care after launch. The first step is always the same: agree what must work in version one and what can wait for the next phase.
Nine areas of work
Our services are grouped into nine categories. Each one leads to individual service pages that describe features, integrations, risks and an indicative budget. When a project spans several areas, for example a web application with an AI module, the specification names one primary product and treats the rest as modules or interfaces.
Custom software development
Web, mobile and desktop applications, business websites, online stores and CMS platforms, plus modernization and maintenance of existing software. The usual entry point for companies replacing spreadsheets and scattered tools with one application. Business websites from $949, web applications from $4,900.
SaaS and white-label software
Multi-tenant subscription products with administration and billing: SaaS MVPs, helpdesk, project management, booking, time tracking, search and comparison platforms, and software that a partner resells under its own brand. SaaS MVPs from $8,900.
Business software
The systems daily operations run on: CRM, ERP, HR portals, invoicing and billing, document management, document and workflow automation, e-signature flows and BI dashboards. The aim is one trusted source of data instead of several versions of the same spreadsheet. Workflow automation or e-signature integration from $1,900, full systems from $4,900.
AI software
Chatbots grounded in company knowledge, document assistants, OCR, language processing and translation, computer vision and recommendation engines. Every deployment has a defined quality threshold, a hand-over path to a human and control over which data the model can use. From $2,900.
Data, APIs and integrations
API design and development, APIs sold as a product, ETL connectors, SDKs and database applications. Chosen by teams that need data to move between systems in a documented, monitored way with explicit error handling. From $1,500 (SDKs) and $1,900 (APIs, ETL).
Developer tools and utilities
WordPress plugins, browser extensions, desktop utilities and backup software. Small, tightly scoped products that automate a repeatable task, with version compatibility, distribution and updates defined from the start. From $1,500; backup software from $12,000.
Cybersecurity software
Building security products: password managers, encryption software and vulnerability scanners. This is for companies developing their own defensive tools, not an audit or penetration-testing service. From $12,000, always after an analysis phase.
Fintech software
Financial dashboards and budgeting apps, credit scoring, payment applications integrated with licensed providers, and blockchain applications. The regulated business stays the client's responsibility; we are responsible for the software and its technical controls. From $12,000.
Construction software
Construction project tracking and crew management: tasks, progress, photo evidence from site, attendance and assignments. For contractors who want consistent field data instead of scattered messages and spreadsheets. From $8,900.
Engagement models
Price is only part of a proposal. It matters just as much who owns the scope, how changes are handled and what happens after launch. We offer four models and can combine them within one project.
Fixed scope after discovery
Once discovery and the technical specification are done, we quote a fixed price for the agreed scope and acceptance criteria. This works when features can be described up front, such as an MVP, a business website or an integration with a documented API. Changes during delivery go through a change request with its own estimate.
Time and materials
You pay for the time actually spent, which suits a product whose requirements shift as user feedback arrives. Work runs in iterations with agreed priorities and regular reporting, so you can steer the budget as you go.
Dedicated capacity
Reserved development capacity (from $6,500 per month) for companies developing a product continuously and wanting a stable team that knows the code and the domain. Team composition is agreed after reviewing the technical brief.
Licensing a white-label core
Some products can be built on a reusable core that we license and adapt to your brand and process. The contract states plainly which parts are built exclusively for you, which come from the licensed core and which are third-party components.
How a project runs
- Brief. You describe the problem, users, current process and constraints; one or two pages are usually enough.
- Discovery and technical specification. We turn the brief into scope, architecture, acceptance criteria, a risk list and an estimate. This is a separate paid phase ($490–$1,500 for a focused scope).
- UX/UI design. Wireframes of the key screens and flows, approved by you before development starts.
- Build in iterations. Working versions on a staging environment that you can review along the way rather than at the very end.
- Testing and acceptance. Functional tests plus responsive, accessibility and baseline security checks; acceptance against the criteria in the specification.
- Launch. Production release with a backup and a rollback plan.
- Maintenance and growth. Dependency updates, monitoring, fixes and new features under a maintenance plan (from $249 per month) or a new order.
The first release should prove one specific business outcome. Extra markets, automation and advanced analytics are planned as later phases, so you see working software sooner and can test your assumptions earlier.
What software costs
We publish indicative price anchors so the budget range is clear from the first call. The main ones:
- focused landing page from $399, business website from $949;
- plugin, extension, SDK or desktop utility from $1,500;
- API, ETL connector or integration from $1,900;
- AI module, chatbot, OCR, NLP or proof of concept from $2,900;
- web application or business-software MVP from $4,900;
- SaaS MVP from $8,900, cross-platform mobile MVP from $9,900;
- high-complexity or regulated software from $12,000.
Amounts are in USD excluding VAT and describe a minimal, clearly defined scope. Proposals can be issued in USD, EUR or GBP. External costs such as API and AI model usage, licences, app-store accounts and cloud hosting are billed separately. The full table, billing models and cost drivers are on the software development pricing page.
Why a Wrocław-based team
We do not publish project counts or rankings. Instead we describe how we work and what goes into the contract, because that is easier to verify.
Four working languages
Calls, documentation and specifications can be in Polish, English, Russian or Ukrainian. For international teams that means fewer intermediaries and fewer misunderstood requirements, especially when end users and management speak different languages.
An EU legal entity
Your contract is with MaViAl Sp. z o.o., a company registered in Poland. Personal data processing falls under the GDPR, with terms set out in a data processing agreement. EU clients work with a vendor inside the same data-protection framework; UK, US and Canadian clients get a predictable basis for working with a European partner.
Written scope before work starts
Before the first line of code you receive a written specification covering scope, architecture, exclusions, acceptance criteria and price. The final quote is based on that document, and any later change in scope is described and priced separately.
Time zone and markets
Central European Time matches the European working day, and in the afternoon it overlaps with morning hours in North America, which is enough for regular meetings with US and Canadian teams.
How to prepare a first enquiry
You do not need a technical specification to get in touch; we write that together. Answers to a few questions are enough:
- What business problem should the software solve, and who owns it on your side?
- Who are the users, what roles do they have and which workflow matters most?
- Which systems, data and integrations do you use today?
- Are there specific security, privacy or industry-regulation requirements?
- What is the target date and the approximate budget range?
Send the description through the contact page. If the direction is still unclear, we will suggest a short discovery phase that ends with a document solid enough for a build decision.

Frequently asked questions
How much does custom software cost?
It depends on the number of users and roles, integrations, data quality and security requirements. As a guide, web applications start from $4,900, SaaS MVPs from $8,900 and regulated software from $12,000, excluding VAT. The binding price follows a written technical specification.
Do you work with companies outside Poland?
Yes. We work with clients in the EU, the UK, the US and Canada, in Polish, English, Russian or Ukrainian. Proposals are issued in USD, EUR or GBP, and the contracting party is MaViAl Sp. z o.o., a Polish company.
Can you take over an existing system?
Yes, after reviewing the code, dependencies, deployment process and data access. The review shows whether to continue with the current architecture or modernize it in stages. Scope and billing model are proposed only after that.
Who owns the source code?
Ownership and licensing are set out in the proposal and the contract. They state which components are built exclusively for the client, which come from our licensed core and which are third-party libraries or services.
How long does it take to build an MVP?
We do not quote timelines before the specification, because they depend on scope, integrations and how quickly decisions are made on the client side. A focused MVP is typically measured in weeks to a few months. A schedule with milestones is part of the specification.
Do you sell licences and white-label software?
Yes. A finished product or its core can be offered on subscription, under licence, through an API or as a partner-branded solution. Permitted use and the extent of customization are defined in the contract.
