USD/ton pricing for steel detailing services & BIM metal structures (US/EU)

We quote most steel detailing services in clear USD per ton of modeled and detailed steel. This makes it easy to plan fabrication cost and compare options for in-house vs outsourced structural steel detailing. For partial scopes (e.g. only shop drawings, only joints or only BIM coordination), we can switch to per-sheet or per-joint pricing.

FAQ — steel detailing services, BIM metal structures & pricing

How do you estimate — per ton or per sheet?

We default to USD/ton steel detailing pricing for full scopes (LOD 350/400), because it matches how fabricators track tonnage. For partial tasks, very small jobs or strict client standards, we switch to per-sheet or per-joint pricing. You can mix models across the same project when that’s more efficient.

Are NC1/DSTV, DXF and BOM/BOQ included?

Yes, for LOD 400 packages. NC1, DSTV, DXF and complete BOM/BOQ exports are part of our standard structural steel detailing services. For LOD 300/350 work we can price them as standalone items if you only need machine and fabrication data.

What are your lead times & rush options?

First deliverables typically arrive within ~72 h after kickoff. Rush multipliers apply when you need 24–72 h steel shop drawings or erection plans: +25% (72 h), +45% (48 h), +75% (24 h), subject to scope and tonnage.

Do you cover seismic and PE stamping in the US?

Yes. Seismic detailing follows AISC 341 (+$39/t on affected tonnage). PE/SE stamping is available via licensed partners in the US ($280–$350 per sheet/state) and is quoted separately.

Which structural steel detailing deliverables are standard?

Tekla/Revit native models, IFC, NC1/DSTV, DXF, PDF, XLSX BOM/BOQ, bolt lists and issue logs. Two minor revision cycles are included in all LOD 350–400 packages.

What’s the minimum order & payment terms?

The minimum order is $800. Payment terms: 30% advance; balance by milestones (weekly for new clients; NET 7 for ongoing partners).
