What you will do (day-to-day)
- Pack items according to pick lists or packing instructions (right box size, protection materials, sealing).
- Print and apply shipping labels; verify label-data matches the order and destination.
- Scan barcodes (item, carton, pallet) to maintain traceability in the warehouse system.
- Perform quick visual quality checks: damage, missing parts, expiry/date codes where relevant.
- Prepare parcels for handover: sort by route/carrier, stack safely, wrap or strap when required.
- Keep the workstation clean and organized (5S-style housekeeping) to reduce errors and injuries.
On some projects you may rotate between stations (packing bench, labeling, outbound lanes). Training is usually on-site and practical.

FAQ
Is this role the same as an Order Picker?
They can overlap. Packing & Labeling is typically more focused on outbound preparation (boxing, labeling, scanning, QC).
Some sites combine picking + packing; the final workflow depends on the project.
What pay can I expect in the Netherlands (gross)?
Gross hourly pay usually starts at the statutory minimum for the age group and then varies with the applicable agreement, experience,
shift system, and the site’s complexity. This page shows an indicative gross range; exact terms are confirmed after screening.
Do I need experience to be considered?
Experience is helpful, but not always required. Sites often provide a short on-the-job introduction.
What matters most is accuracy, safety, and reliability. Your CV should clearly show any similar work.

Basic English is commonly required for safety instructions, labels, and reporting issues.
Some locations are more flexible, but you should be able to follow rules and communicate basic problems.
What equipment will I use?
Common tools include barcode/RF scanners, label printers, weighing scales, packing materials and dispensers,
and (sometimes) manual pallet trucks. PPE typically includes safety shoes and gloves as required by the site.
Are shifts, overtime, and accommodation guaranteed?
No. These depend on the project and seasonality. Some sites run day shifts only; others operate 2–3 shifts.
Overtime is typically offered during peak volumes. Accommodation support can exist on some assignments, but terms are confirmed after matching.
