Who handles your case if you live in Masovia
The deciding authority is the Masovian Voivode; the case itself is run by the WSC department of MUW. Jurisdiction follows your place of stay, so a student in Mokotów, a driver in Pruszków and a factory worker near Radom all end up with the same department.
The department runs its own site, migrant.wsc.mazowieckie.pl, where it posts service changes, the fee table and open-day announcements.
What about Radom, Płock, Siedlce, Ostrołęka and Ciechanów?
Foreigner services in those branch offices (delegatury) appear only on an archived MUW page. The current WSC contact page lists Warsaw addresses only, and we found no current confirmation that the branches take fingerprints in MOS cases. Plan on travelling to the capital and go by the address in your summons.
Four central addresses: which one is yours
| Address | Role per the WSC site |
|---|---|
| ul. Marszałkowska 3/5, 00-624 | department headquarters |
| Al. Jerozolimskie 28 | service point |
| pl. Bankowy 3/5, entrance G, 00-950 | service point |
| ul. Krucza 5/11, entrance E, 00-548 | service point |
All share the same hours: Monday 10:00–17:30, Tuesday to Friday 8:00–15:00. The contact page does not tie particular steps to particular buildings, so the right place is whatever your summons or pickup e-mail says. Mixing up entrance G and entrance E on a tight slot is a classic way to arrive late.
"Sobota Informacyjna", 10.10.2026, 8:00–15:00, ul. Marszałkowska 3/5: department staff answer questions without an appointment.
From MOS to card pickup: the sequence MUW describes
MUW published a separate notice on how it handles MOS filings. The order is:
- Fees, then sending in MOS. Two transfers to different accounts (below), then the application signed by you, and the UPO receipt. Any employer or university attachment must be signed first, or the application cannot be sent.
- E-mail with the case number. It goes to the address in your application, as does the inPOL code.
- Certificate by e-mail. If you filed while staying legally, MUW e-mails a certificate of filing (zaświadczenie). It replaces the old passport stamp but is not a travel document.
- Summons by e-mail or e-Doręczenia. It sets the visit date (at least 7 days ahead) and lists missing documents (at least 14 days to supply them).
- A visit without a folder. You show your passport, give fingerprints and a signature specimen. Paper documents are not accepted on the spot.
- Supplements via e-Doręczenia. Paper documents go in as scans certified electronically by a notary or a professional representative.
- Decision and pickup date. The decision arrives by post or e-Doręczenia; the card pickup date by e-mail or e-Doręczenia.
Missing the summons leads to discontinuation (umorzenie); uncorrected formal defects mean the application is left unexamined. Attachments are covered in our documents guide.
e-Doręczenia and certified scans: sort them out early
In many regions you can hand in a missing paper at the counter. Not in Warsaw, so settle two things before the summons arrives:
- an e-Doręczenia address – set up through gov.pl; without it, answering the summons gets awkward, and the office sends formal letters there too;
- a plan for scans – a paper lease, university certificate or family documents need electronic certification by a notary or by a lawyer or other professional representative. That takes money and time the 14-day deadline may not leave you if you only start after the summons.
Documents that are electronic from the start (say, a digitally signed certificate) can be sent as they are unless the office asks otherwise.
inPOL, the helpline and the contact form
- inPOL foreigner portal – log in with the code sent to your MOS e-mail. A typo in that address costs you both status access and the certificate.
- Migrant Contact Center (22) 695 67 73, Mon–Fri 8:00–15:00, with an automated case-status menu (IVR).
- kontaktwsc.mazowieckie.pl – the department's form, handy when you want a written record of your question.
The inPOL and form sites sit behind bot protection; if one will not load, refresh it in an ordinary browser.
Fees: the city tax-office account and the MUW account
| What | Amount | Payee and account |
|---|---|---|
| Stamp duty (opłata skarbowa) | 340 zł (general temporary residence), 440 zł (residence and work, Blue Card), 640 zł (permanent residence, EU long-term resident) | Centrum Obsługi Podatnika UM st. Warszawy, ul. Obozowa 57 21 1030 1508 0000 0005 5000 0070 |
| Card issue | 100 zł; 50 zł for, among others, children under 16, secondary-school pupils and students | MUW Biuro Finansów, NBP O/O Warszawa 83 1010 1010 0137 1022 3100 0000 |
MUW's fee page has "Opłać online" buttons. For applications filed from 5 March 2026, stamp duty is kept if the case is refused or discontinued.
Check the account numbers against Opłaty – Migrant WSC before paying.
Waiting for a MUW decision
MUW publishes no average processing times. The statutory 60 days for temporary residence and 6 months for permanent residence and EU long-term residence do not run at all until 4 March 2027: that is art. 100d of the Ukrainian special act as amended by Dz.U. 2026 poz. 203, and it covers foreigners of every nationality. In practice a ponaglenie (formal delay complaint) against MUW achieves nothing for now. The one lever you have is a fast, complete answer to the summons. Your stay remains legal if you filed by the last day of legal stay and corrected any defects. More: processing time.
How MaViAl supports a MUW case
MaViAl is a Wrocław company; residence support is its second key line alongside software development. Warsaw's procedure is almost fully digital, so we run it remotely: choosing the legal basis, the document list, preparing the MOS data together (you log in and sign yourself), coordinating the employer attachment, planning the scans and answering the summons within the agreed scope. We work in Polish, Russian, Ukrainian and English. Support starts from 1490 zł; see prices. We do not guarantee decisions or timing. In-person meetings happen in Wrocław; reach us via contact.
Frequently asked questions
I live in Radom. Can I give fingerprints at the local branch office?
Better not to count on it. The current WSC MUW page lists only Warsaw addresses, and foreigner services at the branches appear only in archived material. Your summons decides the place.
My visit is at pl. Bankowy. Should I bring my original contract and certificates?
Bring your passport, but paper documents will not be accepted at the visit. Supplements go through e-Doręczenia, with paper documents sent as scans certified electronically by a notary or professional representative.
My inPOL code never arrived. What should I check?
The code goes to the e-mail address entered in your MOS application. Check spam and compare the address in your application; if it is wrong, report it via the WSC contact form or Migrant Contact Center (22) 695 67 73.
How will I know when to collect my card in Warsaw?
MUW sends the pickup date by e-mail or e-Doręczenia. Go to the address and at the time given in that message.
Can I pay the card fee online?
Yes, MUW's fee page has "Opłać online" buttons. Stamp duty and the card fee are paid separately, before sending the MOS application, and both proofs are attached.
Do I need to register for the Information Saturday?
The office announced it as an open day on 10 October 2026, 8:00–15:00, at Marszałkowska 3/5. Check the details in the notice on migrant.wsc.mazowieckie.pl.
Can I fly home for the holidays with the e-mailed certificate?
No. It confirms legal stay in Poland while the case runs but does not entitle you to cross borders.
Warsaw runs on e-mail – so do we
Our Wrocław team takes you through MOS, inPOL and e-Doręczenia without office visits.
